BYD Atto 3 EV launched at Rs 33.99 lakh

BYD has officially revealed the price of the Atto 3. The new electric SUV has been priced at ₹33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Since its debut last month, the BYD Atto 3 has received over 1,500 bookings.

Deliveries of the first batch will commence in January next year.

BYD has officially revealed the price of the Atto 3. The new electric SUV has been priced at ₹33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Since its debut last month, the BYD Atto 3 has received over 1,500 bookings. It is available in four different colours – Surf Blue, Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, and Ski White.

The Atto 3 is powered by a 60.48kWh battery pack, which helps generate 201bhp and 310Nm of maximum torque. The SUV is one of the fastest in its segment, according to the brand, and can achieve 0 – 100km/h in 7.3 seconds. The car has three drive modes to choose from – Eco, Normal, and Sports. The battery can be charged in about 10 hours using a 7kW Type 2 AC charger and in about 50 minutes (0 – 80%) with an 80kW DC fast charger. On a full charge, the Atto 3 offers an ARAI-certified range of 521km.

Some of the key features available on the BYD Atto 3 include the L2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) BYD Dipilot, an NFC card key, a 12.8-inch adaptive rotating screen, a 360-degree holographic transparent imaging system, a panoramic sunroof, and a Vehicle to Load (VTOL) mobile power station. Apart from these, the Atto 3 is also equipped with features like wireless smartphone charging, CN95 air filter, electric seat adjust, a one-touch electric tailgate, an eight-speaker audio system, PM2.5 air filter, voice control, and multi-colour gradient ambient lighting, which can adapt to the music.

As standard, the BYD Atto 3 comes with a 7kW home charger (plus installation), a portable 3kW charging box, a 3-year free 4G Data subscription, six-year roadside assistance, and six free maintenance services. Apart from this, the BYD Atto 3 offers a warranty of 8 years / 1.6-lakh kilometres (whichever is earlier) for the traction battery, 8 years / 1.5-lakh kilometres for the motor and the motor controller, and 6-year / 1.5-lakh kilometres for the overall vehicle.

 In the Indian market, the BYD Atto 3 is set to compete with the Hyundai Kona Electric and the MG ZS EV.
