BYD (Build Your Dreams) has extended the introductory price for the Dynamic edition of the Atto 3, as part of its celebration of 11 years in India. For the uninitiated, the updated electric SUV went on sale in our market last month, with new variants, features, and colour options. The Atto 3 Dynamic is the new entry-level model that costs 24.99 lakh, nearly Rs 9 lakh less than the SUV's previous starting price. It comes with a smaller 49.92kWh battery pack and a range of 468 kilometres on a single charge. In addition, the e-SUV is available in two more variants: Atto 3 Premium (Rs 29.85 lakh), and Atto 3 Superior (Rs 33.99 lakh). Both models feature a larger 60.48kWh unit and offer 521 kilometres of range. However, despite varying battery capacities and ranges, the three variants of the electric SUV have the same single front-axle electric motor with 201bhp and 310Nm. BYD Atto 3: Other Key Specifications
In terms of features, the Atto 3 sports an 8-speaker system, a panoramic sunroof, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, 60:40 split back seats, a 5-inch digital driver's display, a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, hill descent control, an electronic stability program (ESP), and seven airbags (as standard), Advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). However, it is important to note that these features differ depending on the model selected. Performance-wise, the Dynamic variation of the Atto 3 can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds, while the Premium and Superior variants accomplish the same in 7.3 seconds.
Regarding market competition, the BYD Atto 3 competes with the MG ZS EV and the Tata Curvv EV.

BYD Recent Global Highlights
The Chinese EV manufacturer BYD recently updated its Seal portfolio in its native market with a new 800V platform and a LiDAR sensor. The sedan now also has a plug-in hybrid variant. The 2025 iteration is the second car to be developed on the new 3.0 Evo chassis, following the Sea Lion 07. It is priced between 175,800 yuan (roughly Rs 20.56 lakh) and 239,800 yuan (about Rs 28.05 lakh).
