BYD Atto 2 with 312Km Range Debuts at Brussels Motor Show 2025

Chinese automaker BYD unveiled its latest compact SUV, the Atto 2, at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show. The e-SUV is slated for a European launch in February, but its arrival in India remains uncertain. The Atto 2 is a slightly smaller sibling to the Atto 3, measuring 4,310mm in length, 1,830mm in width, and 1,675mm in height. This translates to a 145mm shorter and 45mm narrower profile compared to the Atto 3, which retails in India at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). When the rear seats are folded, the Atto 2 offers a spacious 1,430 litres of cargo capacity. For now, the BYD SUV will come with a single battery pack and a powertrain option. BYD Atto 2: Design

The Atto 2, a rebadged version of the BYD Yuan Up, has a more understated design language. Its key design features include a flat roofline, short overhangs at both ends and an upright stance, offering a clean and modern profile.

The front is highlighted by traditional LED headlamps paired with a sleek black accent while cladding around the wheel arches and along the lower body adds a rugged touch. At the rear, a connected taillamp design elegantly ties the overall look together.

BYD Atto 2: Features and Powertrain

The BYD Atto 2 boasts an all-black interior with premium touches. It includes a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen, convenient Type-C charging ports, a digital driver's display, ambient lighting, and a head-up display. While official confirmation from BYD is still pending, an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) suite is expected to be available. 

The Atto 2 will feature a single electric motor powering the front wheels. This motor produces 174bhp and is paired with BYD's 45.1kWh Blade Cell battery. The model offers an estimated range of up to 312 kilometres. A longer-range version is expected later, with an anticipated range of around 402 kilometres.

BYD Atto 2: Will it Come to India?

Currently, there's no confirmation from BYD regarding the launch of the Atto 2 in the Indian market. However, the company is set to introduce the Sealion 7 in India during the first quarter of 2025. The Sealion 7 will be showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, starting on January 17.
