Having unveiled the all-new Bugatti Bolide concept in October 2020, Bugatti has now released a series of images of the track-spec W16 hypercar's interior. The folks at Molsheim, in 2021, decided to produce only 40 units of the Bolide to maintain its exclusivity, which still holds true today. However, all 40 examples, costing $ 4.7 million each (translates to Rs 3.92 crore in Indian currency), are already sold out. The final samples, a mix of the track-focused Bolide and the Mistral roadster, will mark the end of the Chiron platform about seven years after it first went on sale.
Bugatti Bolide: Interior Details
With the track-only Bolide, Bugatti is offering us a glimpse at the interior. The first thing that draws our attention is an X-shaped steering wheel design borrowed from the car's taillights. The 'X-theme' steering wheel has eight key buttons that control the ABS and TCS (traction control system) settings. Bugatti says that its test drivers influenced and informed the design of this steering wheel, which can be easily unfastened, taken out of the cockpit, and put on display in spaces like boardrooms. The car also gets multiple digital displays for readouts such as G-forces and lap times.

The Bugatti Bolide's interior, which takes inspiration from the world of motorsports, is based on a lightweight monocoque chassis. As a result, the car offers a new seating position similar to extreme racecars – one that leans rearwards, allowing for the heels of the driver to sit slightly raised and for the passenger to be optimally angled towards the nose of the Bolide.
For significant weight reduction, the Bolide uses carbon fibre-shelled race seats, which sit on the monocoque chassis and are offered in four different sizes. Instead of the seats, both the steering wheel and pedals are adjustable to meet the exact needs of the driver. Other interior bits include uniquely designed AC vents looking like exhaust pipes, Alcantara upholstery, exposed carbon fibre components, as well as a host of buttons in the centre console.
Bugatti Bolide: Safety Features
As far as safety goes, the Bolide offers a HANS head-and-neck system, a fire suppression system, 6-point seating harnesses, and multi-piece seat headrests attached to the door frames.
Bugatti Bolide: Exterior
The Bolide, Bugatti's newest and wildest hypercar, is created with aerodynamics in mind. The exterior highlights include a massive roof-mounted air scoop, specialised air curtains located ahead of the front wheels, as well as winglets placed on the front splitter. The hypercar has a low-slung design and measures 995mm in height, making it 300mm shorter than the Chiron.
Bugatti Bolide: Powertrain
The 8.0-litre W16 quad-turbo engine used in the Bugatti Bolide is the same as the one used in the Chiron and all its derivatives, however, Bugatti has managed to bump the W16 unit's power and torque figures up to 1,825bhp (which is more than the Chiron Super Sport 300+) and 1,850Nm, respectively, by using 110-octane racing fuel. The bump in the power output has also been achieved due to the use of four new turbochargers. With 1,825bhp at its disposal, the Bolide can do 0-100km/h dash in just 2.17 seconds and 0-200km/h in just 4.36 seconds.
