On sale in three variants, the BS6 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios starts at Rs 6.75 lakh. The hatchback is powered by a 1.2-litre motor that develops 74bhp and 190Nm and comes with a 5-speed manual or an AMT option
Just a few weeks back, Hyundai brought in the BS6 Grand i10 Nios with the CNG option. Now, the company has brought in the updated BS6 diesel option as well. When Hyundai first launched the hatchback in August last year, only the petrol-powered version was BS6 compliant. The BS6 Grand i10 Nios diesel prices start at Rs 6.75 lakh for the base-spec Magna trim. Only the mid-spec Sportz variant will get the AMT option, and it is priced at Rs 7.90 lakh. The top-of-the-line Asta demands Rs 8.04 lakh. All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
As expected, the Grand i10 Nios diesel shares its engine with the Aura. It makes 74bhp and 190Nm from a 1.2-litre heart. Transmission duties are performed by a 5-speed manual transmission while the AMT option will only be available in the mid Sportz variant.
Just like all other Hyundai cars, this one too comes heavily loaded with features. The top-spec Asta trim comes with a 7.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Voice recognition. Other features include automatic climate control, all four power windows, tilt adjustable steering, electrically adjustable ORVMs, wireless charging and more.
Aside from the launch of the BS6 Grand i10 Nios diesel, Hyundai has also announced an interesting initiative to raise positive customer sentiments. Hyundai is currently offering EMI Assurance to all customers who purchase any of their cars this month. Under this initiative, select customers are covered against uncertainties like employment loss, acquisition / merger of the company. Hyundai will cover up to three EMIs for a period of one year from date of sale of the car (excluding the first three months).
