The Brabus 800 XLP Superblack is a pickup truck based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63.
Brabus is known for making wild, wacky, and over the top builds of perfectly sensible Mercedes-Benz cars. However, it is most famous for fettling already mad AMG models and turning them up to eleven. A great example of this is the Brabus 800 XLP Superblack – it's more powerful, more luxurious, bigger, wider, and even more imposing than a regular AMG G 63 and carries a price tag to send your accountant into a frenzy.
Before we talk about the said price tag, let’s take a look at what’s new. For starters, the 800 XLP Superblack has a 500mm longer wheelbase with a new steel module at the rear and carbon fibre bedsides to transform it into a pickup truck. Other visual updates include the Brabus Widestar body kit, 22-inch all-terrain tyres, lots of visible carbon fibre bits, and even red lights around the exhaust tips.
Inside, there’s the Brabus Masterpiece interior, with plenty of buttery soft leather, glossy carbon fibre, and even a Panerai clock on the dashboard. There are also Brabus badges peppered all around the cabin, in case you happen to forget where you’re sitting.
The bigger upgrades, however, seem to be under the skin. With a power output of 788bhp and 1000Nm of torque, this behemoth sprints to 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.8 seconds. The top speed is limited to 210km/h, though, thanks to the tyres and high centre of gravity. The latter is largely down to the incredible 490mm of ground clearance, liberated by custom portal axles.
While all of this is cool, it comes at an even cooler price tag – Rs 6.16 crore (excluding Indian taxes and duties). So, if you do plan to import one of these bad boys here, it will easily set you back by over Rs 10 crore. Still interested?
