Tata Motors has opened bookings for the BS6 compliant versions of the Tiago, Tigor and Nexon at Rs. 11,000. All three cars will be launched by the end of January.
Tata Motors has opened bookings for the BS6 versions of the Tiago, Tigor and Nexon across the country. While the launch of these cars are scheduled for later this month, bookings are being accepted for the trio at Rs. 11,000. The launch of the updated Tiago, Tigor and Nexon BS6 aren’t just limited to an emissions upgrade as all of these cars have been given a facelift to spruce up their appeal. While the Tiago and Tigor boast of new front bumpers and grille (the Tigor also gets LED DRLs), it’s the Nexon that has received a significant styling upgrade with a heavily redesigned front bumper, the grille is new too, but it’s the new headlights that really step up the game. The compact SUV will also be offered with a new alloy wheel design. And all three cars will be offered with new colour options.
“Tata Motors has been vigorously working towards a seamless transition to BS-VI. We are delighted to have reached this milestone and are elated to be the first in the business to announce the introduction of an entire range of BS-VI products at once. This newly designed and refreshed range is in alignment with sustainability guidelines while still delivering segment-leading performance. We hope that our new range will contribute towards a cleaner and greener India while providing innovative transport solutions to customers and industry alike,” said, Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors.
Prices for BS6 models will be higher than the BS4 models that will be replaced. The Nexon will continue to be offered with the 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engine options while the 1.05 litre diesel engine in the Tiago and Tigor will be discontinued and they will be offered with the 1.2 petrol unit as standard.
