BMW X5 to Launch in India Tomorrow; Here's Everything You Need to Know

In February 2023, BMW revealed the updated X5 and X6 for the global market. Now, the carmaker is readying to launch the X5 in India. In a recent development, it teased the SUV before its launch on July 14 and provided a sneak peek into the revised model's features. According to the fresh teaser, the SUV has a revamped front profile. Due to the integration of arrow-shaped inverted DRLS into the headlamps, the SUV now gets a more aggressive appearance. There are also renewed taillights, a new bumper with modified kidney grilles, a revised bumper with updated vents, and a fresh set of alloy wheels.
Inside, the redesigned X5 features a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which employs BMW's most recent iDrive 8.0 software, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. An augmented reality heads-up display, and a panoramic sunroof, are some other notable features of the SUV. New BMW X5: Engine
The same set of engines is anticipated to drive the revamped BMW X5 as the outgoing model. The current version has a 3.0-litre petrol engine, which produces 335bhp and 45Nm. It also comes with a 3.0-litre diesel unit, which delivers 291bhp and 620Nm. Both engines come with an all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automated gearbox. The new X5, however, is available internationally with various engines, including 3.0-litre gasoline and diesel engines, a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with hybrid motors, and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

At the front, the revised SUV features new headlamps and integrated arrow-shaped LED DRLs, which act as turn indicators. The bumper is now sharper than before, whereas the kidney grille is the same size as the outgoing model. The only alterations to the rear are a set of new LED tail lights with brand-new X-shaped graphics, while the side profile receives a new set of alloy wheels. The SUV has fairly improved from the inside as well. It now includes a new curving dashboard display that houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment. In addition, the SUV receives optional sports bucket seats, a panoramic sunroof with LED illumination, glass-cut control buttons, and more.

According to market estimations, the price of the updated SUV may range from Rs 98 lakh to Rs 1 crore, ex-showroom. When launched in India, the model will lock horns with the Audi S5 Sportback, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, the Audi Q7, and more.
