Following a teaser video of the X4 coupe-SUV, BMW India has now given us its price. Positioned between the X3 and the X5, the new M Sport variant of the SUV carries a sticker price of Rs 96.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Before being delisted from the company's website, the BMW X4 was offered in two variants – xDrive30i and xDrive30d, and in Silver Shadow, Black Shadow, and 50 Jahre M Editions. And now, the carmaker has brought back the model in the M40i variant, offering the four-door SUV with a coupe-like roofline. Then, there is a blacked-out kidney grille, slim LED headlamps, twin L-shaped LED daytime running lights, 20-inch Jet Black M light alloy wheels, glossy black skid plates & outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), and wraparound LED taillights, along with 'M Sport' badging to distinguish it from the standard version. The SUV comes in two exterior paint options – Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire.

BMW X4 M40i: Interior, Features
The BMW X4 M40i's dashboard is dominated by a free-standing digital instrument display comprising a 12.3-inch touch-screen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Other features on the X4 M40i include a 3-spoke steering wheel, a head-up display, standard leather Vernasca (in Black and Tacora Red options), new sports seats, a panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, and a three-zone climate control system.
BMW X4 M40i: Powertrain, Performance
Underneath the skin, the BMW X4 M40i gets a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, M TwinPower turbo-petrol engine and 48V mild-hybrid technology. The engine is capable of producing 355bhp at 5,200 – 6,500rpm and 500Nm of peak torque at 1,900 – 5,000 rpm, while the hybrid tech is said to offer more power. Power is transmitted to wheels via an 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission, supported by Sport and Manual shift modes, paddle shifters, and Launch Control. The BMW X4 M40i boasts of a top speed of 250km/h, and can go 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds (claimed). On offer are also M Sport brakes with red-high gloss brake callipers and adaptive M suspension.
Launched in March 2022, the manufacturer silently removed the X4 coupe-SUV from its official website earlier this year. Before being taken off the market, the BMW X4 carried a starting price of Rs 71.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
BMW X4 M40i: Price
Priced at Rs 96.20 lakh (ex-showroom), it is imported into the country as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Notably, the new BMW X4 M40i is available in limited units and can be exclusively booked at the BMW Online Shop.
