Ahead of its launch, BMW has officially opened bookings for the X3 M40i SUV in India. The booking amount for the new X3 M40i stands at Rs 5 lakh. The launch of the car will take place next month (May) in the country. The SUV, the carmaker says, will be available in limited quantity, and that will make it sort of exclusive in the country. It will offer the same powertrain as can be found on the BMW M340i and is expected to be brought through a CBU route. Moreover, the M edition of the SUV will also include adaptive M suspension, M Sport brakes, and optional M alloy wheels. It is expected to come with a price of around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom). When launched, it could take on the Porsche Macan S. Two colour options available with the car are Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire.
