The X3 M becomes the first-ever 'M' high-performance model in BMW India's mid-size Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) model line-up.
Not too long ago, BMW India had entered into the compact luxury sedan segment with the first-ever 2 Series Gran Coupe. And now, rather unexpectedly, it has launched a thoroughbred M SUV model in the country – the X3 M, priced at ₹99.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The X3 M, like all M models, will be brought here as a CBU and will be available to order in six colour options – Donington Grey, Toronto Red, Phytonic Blue, Sophisto Grey, Black Sapphire, and Alpine White – with a single Black & Oyster Vernesca leather upholstery option. In addition, all BMW X3 M customers will gain membership to an exclusive BMW Excellence Club, and those who book the car before 31st December 2020 (online) will also get access to an exclusive hospitality experience, in association with Isprava luxury villas.
This is the first time that BMW India has launched an M model from the brand's mid-size SAV segment. Plus, it also happens to be one of the most powerful six-cylinder M models in BMW's current portfolio. The 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo unit in the X3 M develops an impressive 473bhp and 600Nm of torque, giving the performance SUV a 0 – 100km/h time of just 4.2 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250km/h. The power is sent to all four wheels (courtesy of BMW xDrive with variable torque distribution) via an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission.
The 'M' treatment also brings along some extra features, such as M Servotronic steering assist, M Sound Control, Adaptive M Suspension, Performance Control with Active M Differential, and M Sport brakes.
Speaking of features, the X3 M's standard package also includes 20-inch M light-alloy wheels, Adaptive LED headlights, BMW Live Cockpit Professional (with a 12.3-inch Multifunction Display touchscreen, iDrive Touch Controller, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay/Bluetooth connectivity, 3D maps, etc.), BMW Head-Up Display, Parking Assistant, a 205W 12-speaker audio system, etc.
Those customers looking to customise their X3 M can choose from options like 21-inch light-alloy wheels, BMW Display Key, M Driver’s package, M Sport exhaust, and a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, to name a few.
