Sitting at the top of the variant range, the BMW X1 sDrive 20i Tech Edition is priced at Rs 43 lakh, which is roughly Rs 1.7 lakh more than that of the xLine trim. The Tech Edition offers a long list of features and the latest tech.
To keep the X1 updated with the latest features, BMW has added a new Tech Edition to its line-up. The new variant will only be on sale with the 2.0-litre petrol engine option and is priced at Rs 43 lakh. In comparison, the xLine trim of the X1 carries a sticker price of Rs 41.30 lakh.
For the extra money, you get a bunch of additional features. While the overall design of the Tech Edition is largely unchanged from the other variants, it does come fitted with larger 18-inch wheels, which are exclusive to this trim. To compensate for the increased wheel size, it comes with 225/50 section rubber instead of the 225/55 section of the other variants. BMW has also added a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment, with navigation, a head-up display, wireless charging, and a 7-speaker audio system. All other features have been carried over from the xLine trim.
Under the hood, the Tech Edition continues to get a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which pushed out 189bhp and 280Nm. BMW claims that this engine takes it to 100km/h from zero in just 7.7 seconds. The petrol unit comes paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with the shift-by wire tech.
The BMW X1 competes against the likes of the recently launched Mercedes-Benz GLA, Volvo XC40 and the upcoming Audi Q3.
