The M4 Competition is the latest product to be a part of the 50 Jahre special edition.
The BMW 50 Jahre M Edition of the M4 Competition has been launched in India at Rs 1.53 crore (ex-showroom), i.e. a premium of Rs 9 lakh over the standard M4 Competition. The car is the fourth special edition model, after the debut of the M340i, 630i M Sport, and 530i M Sport, and the first special edition of the full-fledged M model.
As compared to the standard version, the 50 Jahre M Edition comes with a few cosmetic changes. The car is available in the brand’s iconic individual paint shades, including Macao Blue and Imola Red. Like the other special edition before it, the M4 also gets the M emblem both at the front and rear and on the hubcaps.
A few elements that have been retained from the standard M4 include adaptive LED headlights with BMW Laserlights, high-gloss black wing mirrors, a rear spoiler and quad exhausts. Moreover, the 50 Jahre M Edition is also available with 19/20-inch double-spoke alloy wheels finished in Orbit Grey and Gold Bronze.
There are very few changes on the inside. The car gets a special 'Edition 50 Jahre BMW M' lettering on places like the door sills, metal plaque on the centre console, and headrests. Mechanically, the car is powered by the same 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which outputs 503bhp through an 8-speed automatic transmission unit.
