The BMW M340i xDrive facelift has been launched in India with a lot of cosmetic & feature updates.
BMW has finally launched the updated version of the M340i xDrive in the country. The car is priced at ₹69.20 lakh. The updated sedan is equipped with the same 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder 24-valve engine, which is now mated to a 48V mild hybrid system and generates 369bhp of power and a maximum torque of 500Nm. The engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
On the exterior, the M340i xDrive now has a more muscular form and a distinct appearance. The interior of the kidney grille is glossy black, with a chrome frame and a mesh pattern. More streamlined headlights with significantly sharper LED daytime running lights (DRLs) surround the grille and have blue accents and adaptable LED headlights. The substantially larger air intakes give the front bumper a more aggressive and angular look. The bumper includes a diffuser and a sizable glossy black area with vertical reflectors at the back. The taillights, however, remain unchanged. The M340i has now gained 4mm in all dimensions.
The interior of the sedan features SensaTec upholstery, electrically adjustable seats, a multifunctional steering wheel, auto climate control, and multi-colour ambient lighting. Further, it has a single-piece curved dashboard display with a 12.3-inch driver screen, along with a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with the most recent eight-generation iDrive system.
The BMW M340i xDrive offers several safety features, including multiple airbags, a rear-view camera, dynamic cruise control, ABS, and EBD.
BMW has also introduced the S 1000 RR superbike in the Indian market at a starting price of ₹20.25 lakh (ex-showroom), in addition to the XM SUV and the M340i facelift.
