BMW has inaugurated a BMW M exclusive showroom in Singapore.
The demand for high-performance cars across the world is on a steady rise. To meet this growing demand, in the last four years, the number of BMW M certified dealers has doubled to 850 businesses globally.
Now, BMW has decided that the best way to react to this demand for high-performance cars is by expanding its worldwide network with exclusive BMM M and BMW M Performance showrooms. The latest example of this is ‘Performance Munich Autos’ in Singapore. Performance Munich Autos will solely focus on showcasing and retailing BMM M and BMW M Performance cars and SUVs in addition to providing M specific workshop services.
The dealership spans across a total of 48,437 square feet to exclusively showcase BMW M models and two BMW M Performance models. It also has an Individual Lounge, which has been integrated for customers to have the ability to relax and individualise their cars. The lounge is equipped with samples of colours, applications and leather upholstery for easy reference. There is also an exclusive area designed as a Delivery Suite where the customer’s vehicles will be revealed in an exuberant fashion. With the lights turned off, the buyer will be first welcomed with a personal congratulatory message followed by a corresponding product video. And finally, the room will be gradually illuminated to reveal the customers' purchase. Following the personal handover, the customer will be able to drive the car directly out of the Delivery Suite.
‘The BMW M brand is celebrating its 45th anniversary, and we have been constantly building on your success. 2016 was a record year for BMW M with sales of 67,900 vehicles, and this year too we have grown significantly. Up until the end of November 2017, BMW M sold significantly more BMW M and BMW M Performance models than during the entire business year 2016. By the end of the decade, we will exceed the mark of 100,000 vehicles sold,’ explains Peter Quintus, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BMW M, on the occasion of the official opening of Performance Munich Autos.
‘The new showroom in Singapore is path-breaking. We will continue to push ahead with this concept and, of course, also further increase the number of certified dealers worldwide,’ added Peter Quintus.
With a similar increase in demand for performance cars in India, it is possible that BMW India will eventually also introduce ‘M’ exclusive showrooms.
