BMW India introduces petrol fueled 5 Series in India in 520i spec with prices starting at Rs. 54 lakh.
As reported recently by us about BMW launching more petrol models, the German car maker has now introduced a petrol version of the 5 Series for India in 520i spec. As the 520i badge suggests, the 5 Series is petrol model is powered by a 2.0 litre petrol engine having an in-line layout and featuring twin turbo chargers. The engine develops 181bhp of maximum power and 270Nm of peak torque kicking in as early as 1,250rpm and spread up to 4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission giving the car a 0 – 100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 233 km/h.
The 520i features BMW’s Efficient Dynamics system that boasts of lightweight construction, Auto Start-Stop, Eco Pro mode, Brake-Energy regeneration, 50:50 weight distribution and more in order to boost fuel efficiency.
The car also packs in BMW’s new iDrive driver information system which is hooked to a 10.1 inch colour display BMW Navigation System Professional with 3D maps (integrated Global Positioning System-GPS), Harman Kardon surround sound system, BMW Apps, park distance control, rear view camera and connectivity through Bluetooth / USB devices.
The new BMW 520i is being made available with a choice of three paint options – Alpina White in non-metallic and Black Sapphire and Blue Brilliant Effect in metallic shades. Interior upholstery comes standard with Dakota leather which can be specified in Dakota Cinnamon Brown, Black Dakota Veneto with beige exclusive stitching, Black Dakota with oyster exclusive stitching and with interior trim offered in fine-wood Fineline Anthracite with highlight trim finisher in Chrome Pearl Grey.
The new BMW 520i is also available in Luxury Line trim featuring chrome highlights for the kidney grille, side window frames and tail pipe while ‘Luxury’ badges garnish the front aprons and key fob.
The BMW 5 Series 520i is a CBU model and start at Rs. 54 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
