BMW has launched the i5 M60 xDrive in India for Rs 1.20 crore (ex-showroom). The all-electric sedan has arrived as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and is now available for purchase at all authorised BMW dealerships. It is equipped with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. Other notable features include 15-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, an M leather steering wheel, and 4-zone climate control. The i5, available only in the top-spec M60 xDrive variant, has Alcantara or Venganza-wrapped sports seats with an active cooling system.
With ADAS, the i5 M60 xDrive offers functions including Attentiveness Assistant, Reversing Assistant, and cruise control. The Drive Assist Professional is available as an option, with steering, lane control assistant, and distance control with stop-and-go capabilities. The Adaptive Suspension comes standard, however, the Adaptive M Suspension Professional with Active Roll Stabilization is an option.
The electrified performance sedan features an all-black kidney grille with a lighted ring, adaptive LED headlights with twin boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, and aggressive bodywork with M-specific styling touches such as an M rear spoiler and 20-inch M light alloy rims with red brake callipers.

BMW i5 M60 xDrive: Powertrain
The i5 M60 xDrive has an all-wheel drive and a dual electric motor configuration, with a total power output of 593bhp and 795Nm. It can achieve a top speed of 230km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds. The i5 M60 xDrive has an 81.2kWh lithium-ion battery that fits flat beneath the floor, providing 516 kilometres of WLTP range. The electric beemer can be charged from 0% to 100% in approximately 8 hours and 25 minutes using an 11kW AC charger. Customers can reduce this time to 4 hours and 25 minutes with a 22kW wall box charger, which is an option. According to the brand, the electrified sedan also gets a 205kW DC charging capacity and can be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.

BMW i5 M60 xDrive: Warranty Details and More
The vehicle comes with a standard two-year warranty that covers unlimited kilometres. Repair Inclusive extends the warranty benefits from the third year of use up to five years with no mileage limit. The BMW i5 M 60 xDrive's high-voltage battery comes with an eight-year guarantee that covers up to 160,000 kilometres.
There are no direct rivals for the BMW i5 M60 xDrive in India. In contrast to more expensive models in its class, such as the Mercedes-Benz EQS, the Porsche Taycan, and the Audi e-tron GT, the i5 M60 xDrive comes as a reasonably priced alternative.
