The facelifted BMW 3GT gets reworked headlights, fog lamps, taillights and bumpers.
BMW is on a roll this year. Subsequent to the launch of the X1, 7 Series, updated 3 series and the petrol versions of the 3-and 5 Series, they have now launched he 3GT. Bridging the gap between the 3 Series and the 5 Series, the 3GT has been launched with prices starting at Rs 43.3 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). There will be two diesel varaints on offer in Sport and Luxury trims while there is also one petrol model on offer in Luxury trim. The 3GT is a one of its kind model in India and doesn't have any rivals from its German compatriots.
Thanks to the larger dimensions of the 3GT over its sedan sibling, it gets a sense of added practicality. The GT is longer, wider and taller than the standard model which makes more room inside the cabin. In terms of changes, the 3GT gets revised LED headlamps, reworked fog lamps and mildly redesigned bumpers. The taillights have been worked upon as well. The interior will continue to look identical to the 3 Series. The feature list will remain identical to the sedan sibling as well including leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, tilt and telescopic steering, electric adjustable driver seat with memory function, 6 airbags and more.
Powering the facelifted 3GT will be the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel motor with peak power output of 184BHP and max torque of 380Nm. All of this power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission. The petrol 330i model is powered by a 2.0 litre, four cylinder engine developing 248BHP of max power and comes with a 0 - 100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds.
