The 2 Series Gran Coupe will be BMW’s new entry-level model and will be positioned below the 3 Series. It is expected to be offered with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options.
BMW is all set to bring in the 2 Series Gran Coupe to India on 15th October. As the name rightly suggests, this new offering will be the entry point into the BMW family and will sit below the 3 Series. This is the fourth new BMW product to be launched this year after the 8 Series Gran Coupe, M8 Coupe and the new X6.
Expect BMW to launch the 2 Series GC with the 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol will push out 189bhp and 280Nm while the diesel produces 187bhp and 400Nm. Both engines will come paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Design-wise the 2 Series GC sports BMW’s latest design language featuring the kidney grille wrapped around in chrome, a nicely chiselled front bumper, and pulled back LED headlamps. Around the back, the taillights are sleek and the bumper is sharply cut. The 2 Series Gran Coupe is 4,526mm long and its wheelbase stands at 2,670mm.
Features list includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8.8-inch instrument cluster. Other features include dual-zone climate control, engine start-stop, electrically adjustable front seats, cruise control, and more.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe will compete against the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine and the Audi A3. Expect the BMW to be launched around the ₹33-35 lakh mark.
