At the Bharat Mobility Expo that is still going on, Toyota has shown off an unusual version of their popular pickup truck, the Hilux, which is known for it practical design. This specialised machine, which costs a whopping 1 crore rupees and was made by Toyota Mobility Services, is meant to be a beacon of hope during disasters by being able to do everything from rescue missions to help with mining and construction.
The Hilux has changed really in the back, but the front and body have stayed the same. A quick tour shows that it has been carefully improved with additions that make it much more useful. The vehicle can carry up to 470 kg and has a 180 L water tank, a generator, a tool for breaking glass, battery-powered rescue tools, a battering ram, chain cutters, a fire extinguisher, an oxygen tank, and a Jerry can for extra fuel. It is a complete set of tools for responding to emergencies.

This Hilux has a beacon and a ladder over a stretcher on top. On the side, there is a whole fire-fighting system with a high-pressure pump and a powerful water gun. This makes the vehicle a mobile firefighting arsenal ready for any emergency.
Toyota Hilux: Mechanical Specs
The Hilux has a strong 2.8-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. It comes with either a responsive 6-speed manual gearbox or a smooth 6-speed automatic gearbox. The versions with manual gearbox (MT) have 201bhp and 420Nm of torque, which is very impressive.

The automatic gearbox (AT) models make the same amount of power as the manual gearbox (MT) models, but they have even more torque, at 500Nm. To make the Toyota Hilux more useful, it comes with a standard 4X4 drive system and front and rear electronic differential locking for better control and grip.
