Bharat Mobility Expo: The Nexon EV's Dark Edition has been showcased by Tata Motors at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. Previously, the homegrown carmaker had revealed that several of its popular models will be on display at the event. These include the Safari Red Dark, the Tata Curvv, and the Nexon i-CNG concept. For those who are unaware, the first iteration of the all-electric Nexon was offered with the dark treatment. Now, the new Nexon EV which arrived on the Indian market last year, has carried on the Dark version tradition with an all-black exterior as well as interior. Read on to learn more about the SUV.

Tata Nexon EV Dark: Battery Pack and Performance Details
Speaking of the power source, a single electric motor and a 40.5kWh battery pack unit drive the Nexon EV Dark. Maximum torque output of 215Nm and 143bhp of peak power is churned out by this front-axle mounted motor. The SUV can go 465-kilometre on a single charge thanks to the battery unit. When it comes to charging, a 7.2kW AC charger can fully charge a Nexon EV from 10 per cent to 100 per cent in six hours. On top of that, the electric SUV can accelerate from a halt to 100km/h in just 9 seconds.
Tata Nexon EV Dark: Exterior Updates
Coming to its styling cues, the Nexon EV Dark has a black front grille, a slash pattern fog lamp housing, piano black bumper treatment, 'Dark' emblems on the front fenders, and 16-inch alloy wheels with a blacked-out look. Additionally, the SUV is still equipped with a shark-fin antenna, split LED headlamps, LED taillights, a full-width LED light bar in the front and back, and a concealed rear wiper with a washer.
Tata Nexon EV Dark: Interior Layout
As the name implies, the interior of the brand-new Nexon EV Dark is entirely black, including the seat upholstery. This electric Nexon boasts features, including a nine-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer, rear AC vents, a 10.23-inch touchscreen instrument panel, cruise control, a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, multiple drive modes, wireless phone charging, auto-dimming IRVM, Alexa and Google voice assistants, two-spoke steering wheel sporting an illuminating logo, and more.
Tata Nexon EV Dark: Safety Features
In terms of safety, the Tata EV comes equipped with blind spot monitoring, ISOFIX child seat mounts, automated headlamps, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, six airbags as standard, and rain-sensing wipers, among other features.
