Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Tata Motors has showcased the Avinya X EV Concept at the auto expo, highlighting its vision for sustainable and efficient electric mobility. Based on JLR’s dedicated Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA), the Avinya focuses on practicality, advanced technology, and passenger comfort. With a minimalist design and spacious interiors, it demonstrates the homegrown carmaker’s efforts to merge functionality with modern aesthetics. The concept boasts an estimated range of over 500 km, fast-charging capability, and smart connectivity features. Positioned as a step forward in Tata’s EV journey, the Avinya aims to set a strong foundation for future electric vehicles while addressing evolving consumer demands.
Tata Avinya X SUV Concept: Platform and Range
The EMA platform, which will underpin Tata Motors’ third-gen electric vehicles derived from the Avinya concept, is anticipated to feature a sizable battery pack, offering a range of no less than 500 km.

This platform is highly flexible, accommodating various battery configurations. Furthermore, the production models of these EVs will incorporate cutting-edge fast-charging capabilities.
Tata Avinya X SUV Concept: Cosmetic Details
The Avinya X concept showcases a bold and modern design. At the front, slim DRLs create a T-shaped pattern against a contrasting dark backdrop, paired with vertically aligned headlamps below. The vehicle’s roofline mimics a coupe-style, gently sloping from the B-pillar before dropping sharply at the C-pillar.
The rear windshield is steeply angled, flowing into a pronounced boot spoiler. The taillights mirror the design of the front DRLs, maintaining consistency in the design. The side profile features a smooth, minimalist shape with gentle curves, while the large wheel arches and muscular rear provide the SUV with a robust, commanding stance.
Tata Avinya X SUV Concept: Cabin Layout and Features
The interior of the Avinya concept embraces a minimalist design with a dual-tone colour scheme and a focus on simplicity. Touch-sensitive buttons and control panels are incorporated throughout, and the steering wheel features a two-spoke design with the Avinya logo and integrated touch controls. The cabin also includes T-shaped lighting accents, enhancing its modern aesthetic. Unlike many contemporary electric concepts, the Avinya minimises screen usage, relying more on voice commands for vehicle operations. Future production variants of the Avinya are likely to include features such as wireless charging, dual 12.3-inch displays, multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, vehicle-to-load (V2L), and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) technology.

For safety, the concept will likely be equipped with a 360-degree camera, six airbags, as well as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.
