Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Skoda has unveiled the next-generation Kodiaq at the Auto Expo 2025, which is currently underway at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The updated SUV boasts a more angular design, a luxurious interior, and a comprehensive range of advanced features. Following its global debut last year, the Kodiaq is slated to arrive in Indian showrooms between April and June 2025. While exact pricing details are yet to be announced, the new Kodiaq is expected to be priced higher than the current model, which starts at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With major design upgrades and feature improvements, it will continue to go head-to-head against the Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, and Toyota Fortuner in the segment.
Skoda Kodiaq: Exterior
The Kodiaq facelift presents a dynamic and polished design. It keeps the iconic butterfly grille with vertical slats while incorporating new matrix LED headlights with crystalline-effect DRLs, providing 50% more light elements and a 15% boost in light output. The SUV also includes a thinner air dam and a front radar sensor, suggesting the adoption of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Additionally, it sports new alloy wheels, a redesigned bumper, a C-shaped wraparound LED taillights, and a more streamlined lower window line that rises near the C-pillar.

The new generation model is 61mm longer, now measuring 4,758mm in length. The wheelbase remains at 2,971mm, while the width shrinks by 18mm to 1,864mm, and the height is reduced by 17mm to 1,659mm.
Skoda Kodiaq: Interior and Features
The interior of the Kodiaq facelift is both modern and sophisticated, offering a range of advanced features including a two-spoke steering wheel, a 10.25-inch driver display, a heads-up display, and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The Kodiaq introduces a new Smart Dial layout, featuring three rotary knobs beneath the infotainment screen for easy control. The cabin is further refined with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, powered front seats offering cooling and heating functions, and a panoramic sunroof.
In terms of safety, the SUV has electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, up to nine airbags, and ADAS, including features like blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.
Skoda Kodiaq: Powertrain
The all-new Skoda Kodiaq offers multiple powertrain options in the global market. The lineup includes a potent 2.0-litre TSI engine (201bhp) paired with all-wheel drive. There's a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology (148bhp). A 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine with front-wheel drive (151bhp) and all-wheel drive (201bhp) is also available. In a groundbreaking move, Skoda has introduced a plug-in hybrid setup in the Kodiaq, integrating a 1.5-litre TSI engine with an electric motor. It offers an all-electric range of over 100 kilometres.

Although Skoda has not yet revealed the specifications, the SUV is expected to retain the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 87bhp and 320Nm and is paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (4X4).
