Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: MG ZS HEV, iM 5, iM 6 and more Unveiled in India

Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: MG has showcased ZS HEV, iM5, iM6, and MG7 Trophy, highlighting potential future launches for India.

Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: The JSW MG Motor India pavilion at Auto Expo 2025 has showcased a diverse lineup of cars. Alongside the debut of the Cyberster and M9, set for launch in India soon, MG also showcased its global lineup to the public. Some of the models displayed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo include the ZS HEV, HS PHEV, iM5, iM6, and MG7 Trophy. Based on MG's past performance, we can expect that while not all of these models may be introduced, some could make their way to India in the future. In this article, we will delve into the details of these models.

MG ZS HEV and HS PHEV

MG showcased the ZS HEV and HS PHEV at the Auto Expo, with Indian launch plans yet to be confirmed. The ZS HEV, a facelifted Astor, stands out with a larger grille, slender headlamps, and new LED DRL signatures.

Inside, it includes a revised centre console, a larger touchscreen, and a new steering wheel. Mechanically, the ZS HEV utilises a 1.5-litre petrol engine combined with an electric motor, generating a combined 193bhp and 465Nm.

MG HS PHEV

The HS PHEV, a larger model with a design similar to the ZS, packs a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid unit that delivers 295bhp and 350Nm of performance figures.

iM 5 and iM 6

IM 5

The iM 5 and iM 6 were displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 as part of MG’s range. iM Motors is part of the SAIC Group, which also owns MG in China. The iM 5 and iM 6 have an aerodynamic design with a wavy headlight and projector LED unit. The bonnet tapers towards the front for a streamlined appearance.

One interesting thing to note about these EVs is their solid-state battery. Both cars come with a 100kWh battery, offering over 600km of range. They make 778hp and 802Nm of torque, and both include four-wheel steering for better handling.

MG 7 Trophy

MG 7 Trophy

The MG 7 Trophy is a dynamic fastback sedan, equipped with a turbocharged engine, offering a blend of sporty performance and a premium, technology-packed cabin. It is powered by a 2.0-litrE turbo petrol engine, producing 253bhp and 405Nm of torque, paired with a smooth nine-speed automatic transmission.

In contrast, the standard MG 7 sedan features a smaller 1.5-litre petrol mill. Inside, the Trophy boasts a luxurious interior, highlighted by dual infotainment screens and a digital instrument cluster, providing both convenience and advanced connectivity.
