Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Hyundai has unveiled a range of exciting models on the first day of the auto expo. The highlight of the brand's pavilion is undoubtedly the Creta Electric, priced at Rs 17.99 lakh. Alongside this, Hyundai has also showcased global models, including the Staria MPV. The car provides a spacious and adaptable option, measuring 5,253mm in length, 1,997mm in width, and 1,990mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,273mm. A standout feature is its capacity to seat up to 11 occupants, made possible by its four-row seating configuration. These models underscore Hyundai’s dedication to electric and hybrid technologies, emphasising the brand's ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability within the evolving automotive industry. Hyundai Staria MPV: Exterior

Introduced globally in mid-2021, the Staria is built on the same platform as the Kia Carnival but features a distinctive design.

The exterior is marked by smooth, flowing curves, connected LED DRLs, and vertically positioned LED headlights integrated into the grille. Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and large glass surfaces, while the rear showcases unique vertical parametric pixel taillamps.

Hyundai Staria MPV: Mechanical Details

The model globally offers a variety of powertrain options, including hybrid, V6 petrol, and diesel variants. The hybrid version pairs a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with an electric motor, sending power to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.

The petrol engine produces 175bhp and 265Nm, while the electric motor adds 71bhp and 102Nm, resulting in a combined output of 239bhp and 367Nm. This makes the hybrid version more powerful and fuel-efficient compared to the 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine. The top-tier model comes equipped with shift-by-wire technology and all-wheel drive. Additionally, Hyundai is reportedly working on an all-electric version of the Staria.

Hyundai Staria MPV: Cabin and Feature Details

The Staria offers a variety of seating configurations, ranging from 7 to 11 seats, depending on the variant and market. The Premium version features seats that automatically adjust to the passenger's body weight for enhanced comfort. The vehicle comes with a choice of dual-tone interior themes, including Grey and Brown, or Grey and Light Grey, along with other interior colour schemes like Black, Black and Beige, and Black and Blue.

Packed with features, the Staria includes reclining second-row seats with a “relaxation mode” function, a push-button gear selector, six airbags, a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, ambient lighting, and advanced safety technologies like safe exit assist, forward collision avoidance, rear occupant alert as well as blind spot detection. The MPV's presence in India is expected to be limited to the Expo, as its official launch in the country appears unlikely at this point.
