Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Hyundai unveiled the Creta Flex Fuel variant at the Auto Expo. Although this version isn't set for production soon, it highlights Hyundai's dedication to promoting sustainable technologies.

Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: The Creta has been Hyundai's best-seller for years, and now it’s further expanding its appeal with the new electric variant, which starts at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). To build on the SUV’s impressive range, Hyundai showcased the Creta Flex Fuel variant at the Auto Expo. While this version isn’t entering production anytime soon, it underscores Hyundai’s commitment to advancing sustainable technologies. 

The Flex Fuel variant has a 1.0-litre GDI turbo petrol engine that produces 118bhp and 172Nm (also seen in the Hyundai Venue 1.0 and i20). However, the unit has been specifically tuned to run on ethanol alone, with no petrol mix, ensuring smooth operation. It has a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Besides the Flex-fuel technology, the SUV remains unchanged.

The Creta lineup in India offers a diverse range of powertrains, with petrol, diesel, and electric. Let's take a closer look at the newly electric Creta in Detail. 

Hyundai Creta Electric: Key Highlights

The electric SUV has four primary trims (Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence), and two battery options (42kWh and 51.4kWh). The 42kWh variant offers a range of 390 kilometres, while the 51.4kWh version provides an extended range of 473 kilometres. The long-range model boasts a 0-100km/h sprint time of 7.9 seconds. The EV can be charged from 10-80% in 58 minutes with a DC fast charger, and from 10-100% in four hours using the 11kW wall box charger. It comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing users to power external devices.

The Creta Electric is equipped with an array of features, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, and ambient lighting.

It has a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, Level-2 ADAS, six airbags (as standard), ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and front and rear parking sensors with a 360-degree camera for safety.
