Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Chinese automaker BYD is turning heads at the ongoing Auto Expo with some of its most sought-after models on display. Alongside the Sealion 7 EV, the brand has unveiled the highly anticipated Sealion 6 plug-in hybrid SUV in India. Although pricing information is still pending, the Sealion 6, if introduced in India, will mark BYD’s debut in the plug-in hybrid segment in the country. Notably, the brand offers the Seal, Atto 3, and eMAX 7 here. Talking about the Sealion 6, the plug-in hybrid SUV has two variants: Premium and Dynamic. It is packed with advanced safety features, including seven airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS, with features such as adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation assist.
BYD Sealion 6: Design
The Sealion 6's bold and upscale look is highlighted by horizontal design accents and sleek headlights. The bold and aggressive bumper, and a clean, flowing silhouette contribute to the athletic stance, while sharp LED taillights, a shark fin antenna, and a roof-mounted spoiler summarise the look at the rear with style.

Other highlights include chrome surrounds on the windows and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
BYD Sealion 6: Interior and Features
The Sealion 6 offers a luxurious interior equipped with a 10-speaker Infinity audio system, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, and a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For comfort, the SUV includes ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and dual wireless phone chargers. It has a 360-degree camera, 7 airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and ADAS for safety.

BYD Sealion 6: Powertrain
Internationally, the BYD Sealion 6 is offered in two plug-in hybrid configurations. The 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid petrol engine in the Dynamic variant delivers 214.5bhp with front-wheel drive (FWD), while the Premium variant boosts output to 319bhp with all-wheel drive (AWD).
