Stuck at home and feeling the stress of a lockdown? Do you miss driving your car? Are you still craving that need for speed? Here are the five racing games that you can play on your mobile phone, and which can help you get through this difficult time.
While the Corona Virus seems to have the entire world on lockdown, there are still ways you can entertain yourself when you are stuck at home. You could watch a movie or read a book, perhaps even spend some quality time with your family. But if you are still craving that need for speed, you can check out these games to abate that burning desire. While we have been in lockdown ourselves, we had some spare time to check out some of the hottest mobile racing games, and we have come up with a list of the best five mobile racing games you can play to make the best of your time in self-isolation. So, here goes...
Grid Autosport
Perhaps one of the coolest and most exciting racing games you can play right now. Although, this is the only game on our list that isn't free. But for 700 bucks, it's one of the best racing games we have ever played on a mobile phone.
Grid brings console-quality gameplay with no compromise whatsoever in terms of graphics and effects. There are over 100 of the coolest cars and amazing circuits to choose from, and you will even see real-time damage on your car from swiping paint with other opponents. There are many types of races – from open wheeling and touring to drag races and arcade-style demolition circuits. The game is easy to play, and the touchscreen controls are awesome, but the racing is so intense and real that you might want to invest in a Bluetooth controller for full effect. We guarantee you will be hooked to this game for hours.
Mario Kart Tour
Old-school racing fans will swear by Mario Kart. It is perhaps the most fun you can have to pass time. Mario Kart Tour allows you to play with anyone in the world, and the gameplay is just as exciting and fun as the older versions. It is super easy, and, of course, this game is also free.
There are a few changes, though, such as invisible bumper rails that prevent you from going off the circuit and some other limitations that Nintendo has put to make it fast and easy. Still, Mario Kart will never disappoint, and you can play it with your entire family.
Real Racing 3
The name speaks for itself. You can race cars with real brand-names on real-world tracks for the most realistic racing experience. True gear-heads will really love this game just for that. Besides the name, this game is such a beautiful game to play because of its graphics. It also has a feature that allows you to play it with your friends. Instead of playing together, your friend can race before you, and then when you race next, there will be a bot that will behave just as the previous driver did. This is also called asynchronous multiplayer system. You can also bump out the bot to affect the track time, which adds a nice twist to the game. The gameplay is wonderful and very fun, which is why it is on our top 5 list.
#Drive
#Drive stands out from other car games because of its gameplay – there are high-speed chases and endless runner genre versions of racing. You are basically an outlaw travelling through different towns as you collect points to unlock a total of 29 super-cool cars. The graphics are artsy and retro but beautiful to look at, while the driving dynamics are very realistic. The touch controls require your full attention as you will navigate through some tough spots and your passenger/sidekick will always shout out instructions to you. It is a great free runner racing game that will have you glued to your phone, and it's better than being on social media all the time.
Asphalt 9 Legends
Asphalt is one of the most popular racing title games on Google Play, and the latest game called Legends is perhaps the craziest and most awesome racing game to have come from the makers of Asphalt. The incredibly polished graphics and the most amazing songs to race to will make this game one hell of an adrenaline rush that you can get on your mobile phone. It doesn't take realism very seriously and everything is a bit over the top in terms of how fast the cars go and what they can do. But this makes the game super fun and almost addictive to play. You can play in Career mode and work you way up to unlock cars and race against opponents online. Asphalt is definitely one of the coolest racing mobile games you can play, and yes it is free to download.
