Automobili Pininfarina's latest creation to undergo an exclusive preview for potential customers.
Automobili Pininfarina will showcase a full-scale design concept of its latest luxury electric hypercar – codenamed the 'PF0' – at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance due to be held in California. The car will be presented exclusively to prospective clients ahead of its official unveiling at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2019.
The cutting-edge design of this new electric hypercar is courtesy of Luca Borgogno, the Design Director at Automobili Pininfarina who has led the designing of the car, from its design brief to the final creation. The production-spec design of the PF0 is currently being developed by the Pininfarina S.p.A. Design Studio in Italy and the production of this hand-built exotic is due to begin from 2020. Automobili Pininfarina will only produce 150 units of this bespoke car for its most discerning customers.
On sharing his thoughts about the PF0, Luca Borgogno said, 'Our objective with the exterior of PF0 is to design timeless beauty in every aspect, and the interior is equally important. Pininfarina’s design values of elegance and simplicity present us with a fantastic opportunity to stand out from the styling of most current sports and hypercars.'
While the PF0 pushes the boundary in terms of design and visual appeal, apart from a visually stunning body created from carbon fibre, the PF0 will also feature extreme levels of technology to deliver unparalleled performance for a road car. With the PF0, the company wants to achieve an acceleration figure of 0-100 km/h in less than two seconds, break the 400 km/h top speed barrier and provide a potential driving range of over 480 kilometres.
