Auto Expo 2023: Asia's biggest auto show is currently taking place at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. As the event finally opens doors for the public today, we are quickly taking a recap of the last two media days, which witnessed several unveilings and launches by diverse automakers. On the first day, Maruti Suzuki began by announcing the eVX electric SUV concept, while MG India then disclosed prices for the 2023 Hector and Hector Plus SUV facelifts. The eHS, MG4, and MG5 Estate electric cars were also showcased, hinting at their entry to India in the coming years. After Day 1's flurry of unveilings and launches, the second day of the auto show commenced with MG Motor India showcasing its hydrogen fuel cell MPV, the Euniq 7. The Jimny and Fronx SUVs were also unveiled by Maruti Suzuki. Now, let's have a closer glance at the top key highlights of day 2 from the auto show in India.
MG Euniq 7
At the Indian Auto Show, MG Motor India showcased the Euniq 7, a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). MG's Prome P390 fuel-cell powertrain, which can withstand temperatures of up to 824 degrees, is fitted in the new hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle. The MPV's features include automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, and an automated tailgate. The FCEV's safety package comprises ESC, ABS, etc. The Kia Carnival and the Euniq 7 are nearly the same sizes at 5,200mm. There are several seating configurations available for the MG MPV, including a seven-seat layout and a six-seat design with captain seats in the middle row. The MPV comes with sliding back doors. A large grille and long LED headlights dominate the front design.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door
After much anticipation, Maruti Suzuki finally uncloaked its highly speculated model, Jimny 5-Door in India. The three-door Suzuki Jimny, which is already sold in a number of nations worldwide, serves as the inspiration for the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door. The new-gen Jimny, which has been made longer to accommodate an additional set of doors, arrived with a 4WD drivetrain, iconic front and back designs, and an upgraded infotainment system. Mechanically, it will share a 1.5-litre petrol engine with the Ertiga, Ciaz, and most recent Brezza. The engine will put out 103bhp of maximum power and 130Nm of peak torque with a manual transmission. The brand-new six-speed AT might be offered as an option. Maruti Suzuki has started taking pre-orders for the new Jimny in India.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx
The Baleno-based crossover SUV finally debuted in India as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The Fronx's powertrains feature the 1-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine's comeback. It has been modified with mild-hybrid technology and will be available with a six-speed automatic transmission. In terms of design, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has taken cues from the existing Grand Vitara and the Baleno. It sports a revamped mesh grille with a chrome strip, eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, a sizable bumper, and headlights above the bumper. The model's tail lamp cluster is similar to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. With the exception of the Grand Vitara's burgundy-and-black upholstery pattern, the inside of the car mirrors that of the current-generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The bookings of the model have also started and it will go on sale in April 2023.

Lexus LF-30 and LF-Z Electric Concepts
Lexus India displayed the LF-30 and LF-Z concept cars on the second day of the Expo 2023. The Lexus LF-30 concept car boasts Gull-wing doors that are hinged to a glass roof. The concept car is longer than five metres and weighs 2.4 tonnes. It has an all-wheel drive thanks to the four electric motors that power it. According to reports, the Lexus LF-30 has a maximum power output of 536bhp and a maximum torque of 700Nm.
The Lexus LF-Z Electrified concept car is based on a distinct EV platform and uses a Direct4 AWD. A new Tazuna cockpit design is added to the interior for better driver-vehicle communication. It also promises to be roomier and more comfortable than other BEVs or traditional ICEs in the sector. On the mechanical front, the Lexus LF-Z uses a 90kWh battery pack that produces 530bhp output and 700Nm of torque. The electrified concept car is 4,880x1,960x1,600mm in size and has a 2,950mm wheelbase.

Overall, the last two media days were packed with action as several anticipated cars and bikes showcased their glimpse at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023. MBP motorcycles - the M502N and the C1002V, the Benda LFC700, Joy e-bike Mihos EV, the Liger X, and the Liger X+ self-balancing electric scooters, and the Ultraviolette F99 Concept Electric Motorcycle are some of the two-wheelers that debuted on the second day of Asia' biggest Auto Expo.
