Auto Expo 2023: Kia India has confirmed that it will showcase ten models at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new-generation Kia Carnival will be one of the products on display. The all-new Carnival has long been rumoured, and it is now finally making its debut in India. The firm has started to post new teasers on its social media platforms. The teasers reveal the new-generation Carnival, which is anticipated to launch in India in 2023. The fourth-generation model will replace the outgoing Carnival, which debuted at the previous iteration of the biennial auto show. The Carnival was introduced as the South Korean automaker's second model for the domestic market in early 2020. The 2023 Auto Expo will also feature the local debut of the EV9 three-row electric SUV concept, which will be followed by a production e-SUV in the coming years.
The teaser for the fourth-generation Kia Carnival reveals several exterior elements of the car including a brand-new grille with brushed silver inserts, headlamps integrated into the grille section, new rectangular projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, body-colored cladding, wraparound two-piece LED tail lights, and a brushed silver insert on the tailgate.

Another teaser for the new Kia Carnival shows the MPV's silhouette. In some overseas markets, this model is also offered as the KA4 or the Sedona. A blue paint scheme for the car, a brushed silver insert for the C-pillar, and several blacked-out components, such as the roof, ORVMs, pillars, and roof rails, are all visible in the teaser.
Three different engines have been made available for the new Kia Carnival for international markets: a 3.5-litre V6 MPi petrol, a new 2.2-litre Smartstream, and a 3.5-litre GDi V6 Smartstream. The 2.2-litre and 3.5-litre Smartstream motors offer 290bhp with 355Nm and 199bhp with 440Nm, respectively, while the 3.5-litre petrol engine produces 268bhp with 332Nm. The MPV is anticipated to be equipped with the current 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is capable of producing 200bhp and 440Nm if it is introduced in India. It has an 8-speed automatic gearbox that handles transmission duties.

Similar to its exterior, the upcoming Kia Carnival will have an entirely new interior, with two 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and the instrument panel, a brand-new dashboard with wood trim, and a dual-tone Beige and Brown colour scheme. An all-new design will also be featured on the centre console. The next-gen Carnival will still come standard with multi-zone climate control, motorised folding back doors, and twin sunroofs. The luxurious MPV will include seating arrangements for 7, 9, and 11.
