Auto Expo 2023: Hyundai Motor India has announced the prices of the highly-awaited Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV. The four-wheeler costs Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 500 units. The Ioniq 5 EV crossover will be using the E-GMP platform.

Auto Expo 2023: Hyundai Motor India has finally unveiled the prices of the Ioniq 5 EV crossover at India's biggest Auto Expo. The cost of the brand-new EV is Rs. 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Only the first 500 units will be available at the said price amount. The Ioniq 5 EV has already been displayed around the nation when bookings for it began in December 2022 at a price of Rs 1 lakh. Along with a three-year free Bluelink membership, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 also boasts more than 60 connected car functions, such as remote door lock/unlock, live location, and SOS services. There are six airbags, disc brakes on each of the four wheels, and level 2 ADAS features like Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Smart Cruise Control that will ensure safety of the passengers. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has three exterior colour choices - Gravity Gold Matte, Optic White, and Midnight Black Pearl. The Nexo fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) SUV from Hyundai Motor is also anticipated to be on display at the auto show.

On the mechanical front, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 214bhp and 350Nm of torque, together with a 72.6 kWh battery. A 350kW DC fast charger can charge it from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, however, there aren't many of these chargers available in India.

The Ioniq 5 EV's maker claims that it can travel 631 kilometres on a single charge. Additionally, the Ioniq 5 has Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, which enables the vehicle to output up to 3.6kW of power. Below the second-row seats, is the first V2L port and near the charging port on the outside of the car, is another V2L port. A converter can be used by customers to power electronic devices like computers, phones, and other devices.
