Auto Expo 2023: At the biennial auto show, BYD launched a new limited edition model of the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV in India. The new BYD Atto 3 Forest Green will be limited to 1200 units and will be more expensive than the standard Atto 3. For those who are unaware, the BYD Atto 3 starts at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, while the limited edition Forest Green BYD Atto 3 will be available for Rs 34.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from the additional colour option, the BYD Atto 3 remains unchanged. Previously, the BYD Atto 3 was available in four colour options; Forest Green is the SUV's fifth colour option. The model will start to arrive within the next few days. A permanent magnet synchronous electric motor is located at the front axle and a 60.48kWh Blade battery pack makes up the BYD Atto 3's powertrain.
BYD Atto 3, which was launched in November of last year, has a range of 480 kilometres as stated by NEDC, and 521 kilometres as claimed by ARAI. After the BYD E6 MPV, it is the Chinese automaker's second offering in India. Three driving modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport—are available on the BYD Atto 3. It is propelled by a front-mounted electric motor that has a maximum power of 201bhp and a maximum torque of 310Nm. According to the manufacturer, the Atto 3 can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.3 seconds. The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV has Blade Battery technology, which enables a 50-minute charge from 0% to 80%.

In addition to the vehicle's 6 years or 1.5 lakh kilometres warranty, the company is also providing an 8-year/1.6 lakh kilometres battery warranty and an 8-year/1.5 lakh kilometres motor and motor controller warranty. Moreover, the BYD Atto 3 comes with 6-year roadside assistance, 6 free maintenance services, and a 3-year free 4G data subscription. The four colour options for the electric SUV are Ski White, Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, and Surf Blue.
The BYD Atto 3 comes equipped with a number of features, including a 12.8-inch rotating central screen with the latest smartphone connectivity, a 5.0-inch digital instrument cluster, powered front driver and passenger seats, a wireless phone charger, synthetic leather upholstery, multicoloured ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, and more.

A new car powered by Blade Battery technology has also been revealed by BYD for the Indian market along with the brand-new BYD Atto 3 colour option. At the 2023 Auto Expo, the Chinese carmaker showcased the BYD Seal premium sedan. The vehicle will be introduced in the second quarter of 2023, and deliveries will start in November during the festive season.
