Audi S5 Sportback Platinum Edition Launched at Rs 81.57 Lakh in India

Audi has released a limited-run version of the S5 Sportback in India named the Platinum edition for the festive season. The special edition is priced at 81.57 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in two colour options: District Green and Mythos Black. According to the premium automaker, the new variation emanates a perfect blend of 'exclusivity, performance, and luxury'. The Audi S5 Sportback Platinum Edition is the company's third limited edition for the festive season and includes a host of features such as Matrix LED with laser light, red brake callipers with S writing, sports seats with massaging function, and much more. This particular edition houses the 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine, which combines turbocharging and a mix of direct injection and indirect injection that claims to deliver excellent performance and efficiency. Audi S5 Sportback Platinum Edition: Exterior and Interior 

The Audi S5 Sportback Limited Edition is designed in synch with the latest Audi design language, claims the automaker. The Audi Black Styling Package adds black elements to the grille, Audi Rings, air intakes, and window frames, giving the car a dark and sporty appearance. The external mirrors feature aluminum-look housings, and the side sills are aggressively curved.

Aside from that, the model features dynamic shoulder line arches over the wheel housings, as well as U-shaped clasps that support the massive pentagonal air inlets, which are partially filled with honeycomb grille and separate apertures that allow direct airflow into the wheel housings for increased aerodynamic efficiency. The spoiler incorporated into the baggage compartment lid and LED rear lights with dynamic turn signals are also available. 

The special edition interior has electrically adjustable front sports seats with driver-side memory, a massive glass panoramic sunroof, and Nappa Leather Upholstery seat coverings. Lighted door sill strips, a sports leather flat-bottom steering wheel with multifunction, and 3-zone automatic air conditioning are among the other notable interior features.

Audi S5 Sportback Platinum Edition: Feature List 

The car sports a fully digital 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster with three adjustable view modes: Sport, S performance, and Dynamic. A 10.09-inch infotainment system with MMI navigation and MMI touch is also available. Other highlights include a 6-channel amplifier, 10 speakers (including a center speaker and a subwoofer), an Audi Smartphone interface, and more. 

Audi S5 Sportback Platinum Edition: Engine 

The Audi S5 Sportback Platinum Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine with 349bhp and 500Nm. The quattro permanent all-wheel drive technology transmits power from the eight-speed tiptronic to all four wheels via a self-locking central differential. A powerful exhaust note, according to Audi, provides an appropriate sound and a refined 5 Sports Suspension with damper control adds to the sporty driving performance of the version.
