Get ready for the Audi RS Q8 Performance! The SUV is all set to go on sale in India on February 17, 2025, with a more powerful V8 engine than the facelifted standard model introduced globally last year. Audi has already started accepting bookings for a token amount of 5 lakh, with deliveries expected to follow shortly after the launch. The new Audi RS Q8 Performance is likely to have a price tag ranging between 2.2 crore and Rs 2.3 crore (ex-showroom). It will compete with high-end SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne GTS and the Lamborghini Urus SE.
Audi RS Q8 Performance: Engine
The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine in the RS Q8 Performance produces a remarkable 631bhp and 850Nm of torque. This notable power enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of more than 305km/h with the optional performance package. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive and sport differential ensure precise handling.

In comparison, the facelifted RS Q8 produces 592bhp and 800Nm, and has a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.8 seconds. Notably, the RS Q8 Performance holds the record as the fastest SUV to complete a lap at the Nurburgring.
Audi RS Q8 Performance: Design and Features
The updated RS Q8 and its more powerful Performance variant are eye-catching examples of Audi's design prowess. While Audi hasn't confirmed the availability of the standard RS Q8 in India, reservations are open for the Performance variant, meaning only the top-spec model will be offered here. While the RS Q8's design remains largely unchanged, it now appears more aggressive compared to the standard Q8. The front boasts a new single-frame grille with sharp octagonal accents and updated Matrix LED headlights. The bumper features a larger air intake, and the SUV comes with 22-inch alloy wheels as standard, with an option to upgrade to 23 inches. Other notable highlights are a shark fin antenna, OLED tail lights (a first for the model), and a sporty rear spoiler.
The Performance variant retains much of the standard model's design but adds unique touches such as a larger diffuser, blacked-out exhaust tips, a bigger grille, and enhanced air intakes in the front bumper. Inside, the RS Q8 Performance ups the luxury factor with an all-black interior accented by vibrant red details on the seats, doors, and steering wheel.
The cabin also features a dual touchscreen layout, with a 10-inch infotainment screen paired with an 8.5-inch secondary display for HVAC controls, alongside a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
