Customers can book the RS Q8 either at Audi dealerships or on the brand’s official website by paying a minimum amount of Rs 15 lakh. The RS Q8 holds the record of being the fastest SUV around the Nürburgring
Just a week after dropping the teaser, Audi has now commenced pre-launch bookings of the RS Q8. Customers can book the car by paying a minimum of Rs 15 lakh at any dealership or on the brand’s official website. The RS Q8 will make its India debut later this month at an expected price of around Rs 2 crore.
Audi first took the wraps off the RS Q8 in November last year, soon after shattering the lap record of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S at the Nürburgring and claiming the title of the fastest SUV around the legendary race track. The RS Q8 clocked a 7 minute 49.3 second lap time to set the record. Under the hood, the RS Q8 hides a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, which is good for 591bhp and 800Nm. All of this power goes to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system and takes the car from zero to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds – that’s just two-tenths of a second slower than the Lamborghini Urus.
The RS Q8 will be the fourth Audi to be launched in the year after the Q8, A8L, and RS7. The Ingolstadt based brand also had their first electric SUV, the e-tron, planned for launch around April-May, but the plan was delayed due to the current coronavirus pandemic. Aside from that, Audi seems to have the second-gen Q3, Q7 face-lift, and a few other models in the pipeline for this financial year.
