The eagerly-awaited Q8 e-tron has been launched in India today by German luxury automaker, Audi. Our home market will offer the model in both the Standard SUV and Sportback Coupe versions. The price for the brand-new model starts at Rs 1.14 crore for the SUV version and at Rs 1.18 crore for the Sportback version. Both prices are ex-showroom. Audi India recently opened the order books for the car for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. For the uninitiated, the Q8 is the firm's marquee SUV in the nation, and the release of an electric model will strengthen its presence in India's highly competitive electric SUV market. The luxurious electric SUV will compete with models like the BMW iX and the Jaguar i-Pace, among others. The newly-launched Q8 e-tron will add to Audi's broad line-up of battery-powered cars in the Indian market, which already includes the Audi e-tron GT, the Audi RS e-tron GT, the Audi e-tron, as well as the Audi e-tron Sportback. Audi Q8 e-tron: Design and Price Details
Speaking of design, the laser-engraved badging and 2D look emblem on the B-pillars of the Audi Q8 e-tron reflect the vehicle's fresh look and contemporary design statement. It comes with recognisable Audi digital matrix LED headlights and will also have the option of a single-frame projection light. Furthermore, it has five dynamic light animations for the coming home or departing home function, and the MMI system allows for setting this up. The SUV's back has a shark fin antenna, connected LED taillamps, e-tron badging in the bumper, and a rear spoiler with a high stop lamp. On top of that, it has doors with LED welcome lights, a glass panoramic sunroof, R20 diamond-turned alloy wheels, and automatic wipers with built-in washer nozzles. The new electric SUV will also come in nine exterior colour schemes: Madeira Brown, Chronos Grey, Glacier White, Mythos Black, Plasma Blue, Soneira Red, Magnet Grey, Siam Beige, and Manhattan Grey.

Audi Q8 e-tron: Battery and Range
The Audi Q8 e-tron succeeds the e-tron, and both models are offered in SUV and Sportback body forms. There are two models of the new Q8 e-tron: the 50 and the 55. With a 95kWh battery and two motors that generate 340bhp and 664Nm, the 50 trim has a claimed range of 505-kilometre for the Sportback version and 491-kilometre for the SUV. The more potent 55 variant provides a range of 582-kilometre for the SUV and 600-kilometre for the Sportback, thanks to a larger 114kWh battery. The top-spec 55 puts out 408bhp of maximum power and 664Nm of peak torque. The battery of the trims can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 31 minutes using 170kW of DC fast charging. Besides, the car is going to get a 22kW AC charger, which is capable of finishing the charging process for the battery in just six hours.
Audi Q8 e-tron: Interior and Safety Features
The cabin of the car features a 10.1-inch infotainment system and an 8.6-inch HVAC control device. Four-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, an Audi smartphone interface, Audi virtual cockpit plus, 30-colour ambient lighting, an Audi phone box, a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, comfort key with gesture-controlled boot lid function, a panoramic sunroof, USB charging port, scuff plates with aluminum inserts, and other interior features are also the standouts. Three interior paint options for the Audi Q8 e-tron will be offered: all-black, Okapi Brown, and Pearl Beige.
On the safety front, the Q8 e-tron boasts eight airbags, a 360-degree camera with Parking Aid Plus, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchor Points, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), loose wheel warning, Park Assist Package, lane departure warning, anti-theft wheel bolts, and Audi Pre-Sense Basic.
