One of the most popular German SUVs, the Audi Q7 has made a comeback with a mid-life update. The SUV now gets an updated exterior and interior, and the new Q7 will be offered in two variants.
The Audi Q7 facelift has been launched in India and the SUV will be offered in two variants. The lower, Premium Plus variant has been launched at Rs 79.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and the higher Technology variant asks for Rs 88.33 lakh (ex-showroom).
The updated Q7 features a new fascia which is more aggressive than before. The headlamps are all-LED Matrix units. The wheels sport a new 19-inch five-spoke design. While the styling details have been updated, the overall silhouette of the SUV is very similar to the predecessor model.
The cockpit too gets its own set of updates. The instrument cluster is an all-digital 10.1-inch unit. The multimedia unit features Audi’s MMI system as well. For entertainment, the cabin gets B&O 3D surround sound system with a 730watts 19-speaker setup. The cabin gets ambient lights as well. The customers can choose between Saiga Beige and Okapi Brown for interiors.
The new Q7 gets a four-zone climate control system For safety, the 2022 Audi Q7 is equipped with six airbags as standard.
The engine is a 3.0-litre V6 unit paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. This system enables the engine to be turned off for up to 40 seconds when coasting.
The power output is marked at 335bhp and 500Nm. The power is sent to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SUV features seven driving modes – Auto, Comfort, Dynamic, Efficiency, Off-Road, All-Road and Individual.
The 2022 Audi Q7 mainly rivals the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and Land Rover Range Rover Velar.
