The Audi Q7 Black Edition will be limited to 100 units in India.
Audi India has launched a special edition variant of the Q7. Billed as the Q7 Black Edition, the new variant is limited to just 100 units. The Q7 Black Edition is priced at Rs 82.15 lakh for the petrol version, and Rs 86.30 lakh for the diesel trim (both are ex-showroom prices).
The Q7 Black Edition, as you’d guessed already, gets blacked-out exterior theme. This means there’s a titanium black gloss treatment on the radiator grille and air-intakes. The door trim gets tital black gloss finish with quattro embossing, while the side windows and roofline come coated with high-gloss black scheme. The rear diffuser also gets titanium black matte finish, while the blacked-out roof rails and alloy wheels complete the list of updates.
Mechanically, there are no changes. The Audi Q7 Black Edition is available in both petrol and diesel engine options, which are the same as the regular versions. The petrol version comes powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo unit that develops 248bhp and 370Nm, while the diesel is propelled by a 3.0-litre V6 that is good for 245bhp and 600Nm. Both the engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, while quattro all-wheel drive is standard.
The Audi Q7 competes with the likes of the BMW X5, Volvo XC90, et al, in India, and it’s still one of the best-sellers for the brand here. Globally, the Audi Q7 has received a thorough makeover though and it’s expected to come to India soon.
