German luxury car maker Audi has released sketches of the e-tron quattro concept SUV ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Based on Audi’s “Aerosthetics” concept, the e-tron quattro has been designed from ground as an electric car and has movable aerodynamic elements at the front, on the sides and at the rear to improve the airflow.
While Audi has refused to give exact details of its dimensions, they’ve revealed that its length is somewhere between the Q5 and Q7 SUVs and the cabin space is enough to accommodate four people.
Speaking of the power unit, Audi’s latest concept car will have three electric motors - one on the front and two on the rear axle. The lithium-ion battery is positioned between the axles and below the passenger compartment.
Audi has promised that e-tron quattro will have a range of over 500 km and that it will begin production in 2018.
