Audi launched the R8 V10 Plus in India priced it at Rs. 2.05 crore (ex-showroom Maharashtra). Audi went all out to bring this performance super sport car to India as ace drivers Karun Chandok and Aditya Patel took turns to drive it around the Buddh International Circuit in New Delhi recently.
The V10 Plus still gets the same Lamborghini-sourced 5.2-litre V10 engine, but it comes with a slight change when it comes to performance. The engine is now tuned to churn out 542bhp and close to 540Nm of torque. Mated to a seven-speed S Tronic automatic gearbox, the Audi R8 V10 plus can fly from a standstill to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds.Audi has used carbonfibre extensively on this version of the R8 V10 to better the power-to-weight ratio.
This is Audi's second addition to the R8 family and in the coming years, the German car maker hopes to further build upon their leadership position in the super sportscar segment in India and maintain the iconic position of the R8 as well.
