Keeping up with their new product barrage, Audi India today launched the Audi RS6 Avant. Powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 560bhp and 700Nm of torque, the RS6 with its estate body style offers a scintillating combination of performance and practicality.
With its trademark RS styling featuring flared arches, large air dams and 20-inch wheels, the Audi RS6 Avant signifies aggression and intent, giving it massive on-road presence. Dynamically the 560bhp engine is supported by Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system, and helping put the power down is a eight-speed triptronic gearbox. The Audi RS6 Avant also features specifically-tuned RS air suspension to produce excellent handling and giving it a dynamic character.
So as one would expect, the RS6 has scintillating performance with the 0-100 mark coming up in just 3.9 seconds and the top limited to 280km/h, which can optionally be increased to 305km/h with Audi's optional Dynamic Package Plus. At the same time, the RS6 Avant offers all the practicality of a regular estate car offering extra room for luggage and long road trips.
While traditionally the estate segment has not done well in India, Audi hopes to change that with its hyper drive RS6 Avant, looking for customers who want their performance without any compromise on practicality. Unveiled by cricketer Virat Kohli, the RS6 Avant is now available in India at Rs. 1.35 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi).
