Supported by the sales of over 5,91,000 cars in the first four months of this year and new launches, Audi Group is all set to cross the 1.74 million sales mark it achieved in 2014.
It seems that Audi is doing wonders in almost every part of the world. In India, it left behind the likes of Mercedes-Benz and BMW by a considerable margin, and worldwide too it created a record by selling 1.74 million cars in calendar year 2014.
Well, it seems that this number is going to be surpassed this year by the German carmaker making a few new records. The group has already sold 5,91,000 cars worldwide in the first four months, i.e January to April, of this year, and crossing the 1.74 million mark looks easy now. This ambitious figures will be supported by new cars like the new Audi Q7 and the new A4 which will be launched somewhere in the second half of 2015.
Commenting on Audi’s expansion plans for the year 2015, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler, at the 126th Annual General Meeting of AUDI AG in Neckarsulm said, “We intend to continue growing this year – faster than the world market and in all regions. Our brand aims to set new records.”
To strengthen its presence across the globe, Audi will launch 60 new models by 2020. Audi will also hire 6,000 new employees worldwide this year to make its dreams come true.
