Aston Martin, the brand synonymous with luxury and performance in James Bond movies, has announced the imminent debut of its latest masterpiece, the Vanquish. Featuring a powerful 824bhp V12 engine, this flagship coupe will replace the DBS Superleggera. In the engrossing video "Dawn of a new V12 era," Aston Martin tantalises fans with snippets of its state-of-the-art powertrain, backed by the symphony of its majestic engine. As it is expected to make its big debut later this year, the new Vanquish has been eagerly awaiting its arrival.
Aston Martin Vanquish: Design
According to Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, the next Vanquish will have a dramatic visual makeover that will differentiate it from the GT and the just-debuted Vantage, although it will share its platform with the DB12. Every front-engined model has its unique character, says Reichman, stressing the company's commitment to originality. The unique design cues and improved performance of the upcoming Vanquish convey this philosophy.

Aston Martin Vanquish: Engine
Aston Martin says that the latest version of the V12 engine has had extensive reworkings. Redesigned heads, reprofiled cams, strengthened cylinder blocks and connecting rods, and improved high-flow fuel injectors are among these improvements. The engine also features turbochargers to increase its performance capabilities and will offer impressive levels of power and agility.
Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer, Roberto Fedeli said: "The V12 engine has long been a symbol of power and prestige, but it is also a statement of engineering passion and technical prowess. With 835PS and 1000Nm of torque, this unparalleled engine represents nothing less than the dawn of a dazzling new V12 era for Aston Martin."

There will be "strictly limited numbers" of engines made by hand, which means the Vanquish will have a substantially smaller production run.
