Aston Martin have revealed a leaner, meaning and faster version of the Vanquish and have given it an ‘S’ at the end.

You can’t really improve on perfection, but at the Gaydon, Warckishire facility of Aston Martin, that is what they are best at. A few years ago they had given us the beautiful Vanquish with a beautiful body and a gorgeous interior with a powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine to back it all up. Which was followed by the all new DB11 with a twin-turbo V12.

But the Vanquish had become slightly old, and Aston thought it needed an update… and more power. You can never have too much power, obviously. So ladies and gentlemen, welcome the brand new Aston Martin Vanquish S. For the Vanquish S, Aston have gone to the length of revamping the engine, the body, the suspension and the interior as well. And all of this is just to differentiate the regular Vanquish.

Aston have given the new Vanquish S with more aggressive front and a racier diffuser at the rear which are both finished in exposed carbon-fibre and the entire body is also made from the lightweight material as well. The dual exhaust has now been replaced with a new quad pipe layout and the optional packages include things like carbon-fibre engine louvers, 5-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheel design and more.

The 6.0-litre, naturally aspirated, V12 engine in the standard Vanquish produces 568bhp. Aston took the same engine, and gave a air intake system that allows it breathe better. So it now produces 592bhp, so its still a little bit down on power compared to the twin-turbo V12 found in the DB11. But it does go from a standstill to 100km/h in 3.5 second, a tenth quicker than the standard car. The Vanquish S gets the new 8-speed Touchtronic III automatic transaxle gearbox from ZF that comes with the standard car. The changes to the suspension include a new spring rates, damper internals and anti-roll bar bushes which give the car better drivability.

Deliveries of the Vanquish begin in December, with a price tag of £199,950 (~ Rs. 1,69,37,468) in the UK.
