The luxury sports car manufacturer, Aston Martin, will introduce its new model, the DB12, in India tomorrow. The DB12 is the latest addition to the DB series, which has already made its debut globally and is touted as the 'Super Tourer' by the brand. Although the DB11 and the soon-to-be-released DB12 have several design similarities, the DB12 sports an expanded grille, headlamps that are set back, and a more rugged bonnet structure. In terms of the engine, the new model will only house a strong V8 mill from Mercedes AMG, unlike its predecessor, the DB11, which offered both V8 and V12 engine choices.
The interior of the upcoming DB12 has a 10.25-inch center screen with a number of controls underneath it. The infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a number of online connectivity features. The two-door Grand Tourer also comes with rear seats. With the price announcement finally taking place tomorrow, let's take a sneak peek into the specifications of Aston Martin's new model.

Aston Martin DB12: Engine
A more potent 4-litre twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG is the heart of the upcoming 'Super Tourer'. With this single powertrain, the DB12 claims to deliver an astounding 671bhp and 800Nm of performance figures, linked to an automatic 8-speed transmission. The powerful setup, according to the manufacturer, allows the car to reach a high speed of 325 km/h and accelerate from a stop to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds. Additionally, the new V8 engine makes 34% more power than the V12 mill in the DB11 because of the modified cam profiles, improved compression ratios, bigger turbochargers, and improved cooling. In addition to this, the vehicle features a number of technical improvements, including a new adaptive damper suspension system, an electronic rear differential, and more.
Aston Martin DB12: Exterior and Interior
The C-shaped taillights and other design elements of the outgoing model are carried over to the new DB12, but there are some obvious changes. The Aston Martin grille has been broadened and the headlamps have been altered to give the exterior a more sturdy appearance. The car's new headlamps, which have LED daytime running lights, add to its sleekness. In the sideways, the car lines are more sharp and the air vent is more pronounced as it extends from the front wheel arch.
A number of Aston Martin cars have used Mercedes-Benz infotainment technology. The British company, however, has paid heed to this and made in-house a 10.25-inch infotainment system for the first time. Furthermore, the automaker provides connected car technology via its own app, which is also the brand's first. Other interior features of the vehicle include premium upholstery, a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more.
