The DB12, Aston Martin's newest model in the DB line, will go on sale in India on September 29. Aston Martin refers to the DB12 as a "Super Tourer" and it was globally debuted four months ago. The DB12 marks the start of a new era for the brand in addition to being the DB11's replacement. The upcoming product will only be offered with a V8 engine, unlike the DB11, which was also offered in V12 and V8 configurations. The engine housed inside the model, though, comes from AMG, and it has a greater output when compared to the V12 in its predecessor. Notably, the car generates up to 34% more power than the V8 in the DB11 and even outperforms the earlier V12 in terms of output owing to changed cam profiles, optimised compression ratios, larger diameter turbochargers, and improved cooling. By the end of the year, deliveries of the car are anticipated to commence. Let's now take a detailed look at the key aspects of the DB12.

Aston Martin DB12: Exterior and Interior Details
The DB12 and DB11 share a similar appearance, but the DB12 has a substantially bigger grille, swept-back headlamps, and robust bonnet outlines. The vehicle also has a brand-new LED DRL design featuring chrome grille elements and substantial air intake on both sides. Its front and rear tracks have been enlarged by 6mm and 22mm, respectively, and it includes a massive wheel arch with air vents on the side.
As you move inside, you'll notice that the dashboard has been redesigned, and there are also back seats in the vehicle. The infotainment system and the instrument panel are both displayed on twin 12.3-inch digital screens in the supercar. Furthermore, it features connected car technology, onboard 4G connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, and much more.
Aston Martin DB12: Engine and Performance
The V12 engine is swapped out for a V8 engine from Mercedes-Benz's AMG division in the DB12 from the house of Aston Martin. The automobile is even more potent than the DB11 V12 thanks to the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine's combination with an 8-speed automated transmission and upgraded tuning. This unit churns out a maximum power output of 671bhp and an impressive 800Nm of peak torque. The recently introduced coupe boasts a top speed of 325km/h and can accelerate from a halt to 100km/h in about 3.5 seconds.
Aston Martin provides stiffer anti-roll bars and next-generation adaptive dampers since the increased power demands a suspension that can endure the added forces. The three available driving modes are—GT, Sport, and Sport+—each with differing degrees of responsiveness and stiffness. Additionally, the DB12 is the first DB model to feature an electronic rear differential that can switch from fully locked to fully open in just a few milliseconds.
