Aston Martin DB12: Design Cues
The new DB12 keeps the key highlights of a grand tourer when it comes to the overall styling with its fresh and contemporary look. At the same time, the GT resembles the DB11 it is meant to succeed. Similar to that, there are a few design elements that were influenced by the DBS. A wide grille, redesigned headlights with integrated daytime running lights, robust front, and rear bumpers, a striking side profile, and C-shaped taillights are some of its standout design features. Further, it is decked out in a tone of British Racing Green and rides on regular 21-inch wheels covered in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 S tyres.
Aston Martin DB12: Powertrain
The twin-turbocharged, hand-built 4.0-litre V8 Mercedes-AMG powering the DB12 produces 680bhp of maximum power and 800Nm of peak torque, which is 34 per cent more torque than the DB11's V8. With a top speed of 325km/h, it can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Modified cam profiles, adjusted compression ratios, bigger turbochargers, and enhanced cooling are responsible for the increase in power. The booming 5.2-litre V12 that was available in the DB11 and the limited-edition DBS 770, however, is absent.
