On the occasion of its 115th birthday, Cadillac has introduced a special edition variant of the CTS-V sedan. Production will be limited to 115 units.

Cadillac is celebrating its 115 anniversary with a special edition variant of the bonkers CTS-V saloon. It’s called the CTV-S Glacier Metallic Edition and as is the case with most of the birthday special versions, this one also gets a number of cosmetic updates. Only 115 units will be made.

As you can see in the picture, the anniversary special dons a smoky grey body colour and gets 19-inch forged alloy wheels with dark red Brembo brake callipers. There’s a lot of carbon fibre goodness, too – the front splitter, hood vent, rear spoiler and rear diffuser are all made up of composite material. The rest of the bodywork is more or less unchanged from the regular sedan.

On the inside, the Glacier Metallic Edition comes with jet-black Recaro sports seats, a performance data recorder with Cosworth Toolbox analysis software, a rear camera mirror and a touchscreen infotainment system.

Power is sourced from the same supercharged 6.2-litre V8 petrol engine that is available with the standard car. The engine develops 640bhp and 855Nm of torque – all of which is mercilessly sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The super-saloon also gets five track-oriented driving modes (from Wet to Race) along with a Launch Control system. Thanks to all of that, the CTS-V will sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 322km/h!

The Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition is priced at $103,885 (Rs 66.40 lakh approx.) in the US. Since it’s a limited edition variant, expect it to fly off the showroom shelves in no time.
