Ssangyong has revealed the brand new Musso pick-up truck.
Ssangyong, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra, has revealed the latest version of the Ssangyong Musso utility vehicle.
The South Korean manufacturer released details of the vehicle for the UK market stating that it is based on the same body-on-frame design as the Rexton SUV. Ssangyong has claimed that the new Musso has a one-tonne payload and a towing capacity of 3,500 kilogrammes. The bed is also bigger compared to the outgoing model which measures 1,300mm long, 1,,570mm wide and 570mm deep.
The new Musso will be powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine which can generate 178bhp and 400Nm of torque. In the UK market, the engine will be offered with an option of a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission while it will be a proper 4x4 as standard.
In the United Kingdom, Ssangyong will offer the Musso in three trim levels and even the entry variant will come equipped with features like six-airbags, automatic headlamps, Bluetooth integrated infotainment system in addition to 17-inch allow wheels.
While the Musso is not targeted for the Indian market, Mahindra is expected to launch the all-new Rexton, which was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo in India very soon, however it will be branded as a Mahindra instead with subtle changes to the design.
